My "Goofy" Dream
This probably seems dorky and slightly childish but I don't care. Goofy and Max are awesome! Last night I had a dream that I was turned into a cartoon character and was in a Goof Troop episode. I was trying to find a way home and to be my human self again. Goofy, P.J., and Max were helping me. It was so funny with Goofy always saying something silly, tripping or sliding over things, and Max and P.J. coming up with crazy ideas like asking a fake fortune teller for help or spraying me with a hose to see if I could be "uncartoonized" (I know that it's not a word, Max made it up in the dream). Goofy then accidentally ran into a glass door that was hidden in their basement. That was my way home. I walked through and I woke up.

A Twilight Question
Okay, I'm Team Edward, always will be. Edward and Bella are meant to be, but I was wondering what would happen if she was with Jacob. Would there be less life threatening situations? Less drama? It would probably be extremely boring. Tell me what you think.

Fly Away Princess (Song: Once Upon A Time By SHE)
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Miranda who had everything. She was extremely special since she was a baby. The fairies had blessed her with extraordinarily violet eyes, long and flowing black hair, and cherry colored lips. The witches and wizards had blessed her with the gift of song and flight. She could dance upon the stars like a wingless bird and beckon the dawn with her lovely voice. She also lived in a huge palace full of family and servants who adored her more than anything and would die for her. Even though she had it all, Miranda felt so empty inside.
Every time she would walk into the crowded banquet hall for a ball, she always had millions of suitors surround her. They would grovel at her feet, give her valuable offerings, lick their lips seductively, and promise her the world; anything to have her as a wife. She never believed those damn fools! They all were complete liars with monstrous lust in their eyes. She was just a prize to them.
One night, she and her family had a guest to dinner. His name was Prince David. When Miranda was younger, she fell in love with this prince (the only time that she let someone into her heart). He was handsome, charming, and she thought that he was faithful and truly loved her but she caught him feverishly kissing one of the queen’s ladies-in-waiting and her heart was broken beyond belief. This betrayal took away her dreams. She vowed to never see him again and she hadn’t until the king stupidly invited him to dinner.
As she was eating silently while the king and queen made conversation with him, he kept looking at her like a piece of meat. Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore and quickly ran out to the garden without excusing herself. With tears in her eyes, she said, “I won’t take this any longer!” Without hesitation, Miranda raised her arms and gracefully levitated off the ground. She didn’t know where she was going or what was going to happen. She just wanted to escape from her hollow and passionless life. Not looking back, she flew up higher and higher into the dark night sky.
What happened to her then? Did she find true love? I wish that I could tell you. No one really knows. Some say that she flew to the heavens and became a guardian angel for the lonely, and others say that she just flew aimlessly around the world, looking and longing for a companion but one thing is for sure, she flew away, far away from the undeniable lies and emptiness forever.

Star Fallen From Grace
Once your name was in lights,
everything you did was perfect and right.
You were idolized, you were adored.
Thousand of fans devotedly hung posters of you on their walls;
you had it all.
But you made one misstep,
had one moment of misjudgment;
And now, you’re a star fallen from grace,
the one that Hollywood shuns and looks down at with disgust.
You don’t know which is worse;
the words that they write and say or all the broken hearts.
It seems like your life is over.
I’m here to say don’t ever give up,
that’s everything will be okay.
If you admit to your mistake,
Ask for help, reach for a hand,
someone out there will understand.
All you need is faith, love, and good friends.
And just remember that God is listening,
He’ll never leave you behind,
You’ll always be under his bright spotlight.

This is for the celebrities who get bashed by the media. I don't know why but it just popped in my head one day. I think that some celebrities/pubic figures need a hug or some caring word sometimes. The media can get mean at times.

My Birthday Dinner
Last night, I met Rick for first time in person. He and his friends Becca and Jozy joined me, Mom, Amanda, Craig, and Baby Gracie for dinner at Frankie Gianino's. Rick was sweet as always and his friends were very nice. He got me a teddy bear and blanket, which his grandma made, and a candle and some earrings. Becca also made me some beautiful bracelets and a bookmark. I was ecstatic to see Rick. I was on cloud nine. It was the best birthday!

To Play With Fire
To Play With Fire
You make me want to play with fire,
just smile at danger.
I’m letting my heart go reckless but I don’t care.
You’re my partner in crime,
my shelter when it begins to rain.
Some say it’s insane,
some even it’s wrong
to have such admiration for someone who’s almost a stranger,
But you make me want to play with fire,
just smile at danger.

My Happy Dream (Once Upon a December)
I had such a happy dream last night (the reason for the whimsical song above). No, it wasn't about my boyfriend Rick, though I am extremely excited to meet him on my birthday! It was about camp and a camp friend (let's call him Patrick because I don't want to embarrass him). In the dream, I was at camp in December for some odd reason. We had to gather in the dinning hall because of a snow storm and Patrick came in with his silver cross around his neck and his hat on backwards as always. He quickly ran up to Kortney and me and hugged me tightly, saying, "I've missed you so much Lena." He asked Kortney and I about Rick, about the dances that we go to, and about our Christmas. Then suddenly, he just began to dance with me out of the blue. He was just twirling me around slowly, holding me close, singing and talking to me, and making me laugh. People were staring but I didn't care. I was just having fun with my friend. I woke up giggling. It put me in a good mood.

The Second Star To The Right (Jonatha Brooke version)
Really in a Peter Pan mood today for some odd reason. I love anything about Peter Pan. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm Peter Pan/Tinker Bell obsessed. My sister and I read the book and saw the Disney movie when we were kids and then I read the book again myself as a teenager. Peter Pan is my comfort zone. This version of "The Second Star To The Right" is very pretty. Jonatha Brooke did a good job.

Rewrite Your Own Fairy Tale
There comes a time in every girl’s life when she has to stop acting like a damsel in distress, start standing on her own feet, and with all of her faith within her heart and soul, rewrite her own fairy tale. Gaining bravery, she won’t always rely on a knight in shining armor and she faces her own fears. Even though she can’t always see it, she’ll know that love, magic, and light is all around her.

What I'm Thankful For
I'm thankful for my loving family: my biggest fans, my toughest critics, my true companions. I don't know what I would do without them. They love me for me.
I'm thankful for my accepting friends (including my lovely boyfriend): the people who love my craziness, hang with me no matter what, and make me smile.
I'm thankful for my family's and friends' health and my health.
I'm thankful for food and shelter. Not everyone has those things.
I'm just thankful, grateful for a GREAT life!!

Random Update (and Shane Dawson)
Okay, it's really 12:33 AM, even though Blogger is saying it's only 10:53 PM, and my stomach sort of hurts. Instead of writing, I've been watching YouTube videos all night. I promise that Part 1 of The Impairy Story is coming. I've just been getting distracted lately. Darn you Rick! Just kidding, I love him. Anyway, I'm slowly writing, little by little. You'll know more about Shadow the impairy soon. Here's a YouTuber that I've been watching. He's hilarious. His name is Shane Dawson. Enjoy.

Happy Birthday Steven
Steven was a good friend. He always managed to make me laugh no matter what. When I think about growing up and going to school with him, I remember the little things like him making him silly faces at the gym teacher, or telling me the latest blond joke, or him and I yelling "BUMP" before the bus hit a bump, or him waving from the bus window when I was dropped off, or when I sat with him at lunch, which soon became my favorite part of the day. Steven was funny and fun. Yes, we sometimes fought like brother and sister, but I loved him, still do. I miss him everyday, but I know that he's watching over all of his family and friends. Happy birthday Stevie Wevie. I love you.

Halloween Camp 2010
Last weekend, I went to Wonderland Camp. I saw old friends: Kortney, Kelsey, Ashley, Morgan, Sophie, Sam, Jake, Toby, Andrew, Marcella, and Lou. I also made new friends: Lauren and Bethany. Each time that I go back, I realize how much I miss the little things from Wonderland like the noisy dinning hall, the old jukebox that has been there since I could remember, the homey cabins, smiling faces everywhere, and the bumpy rocks underneath my wheels. On Friday evening, we had movie night in the dinning hall. We watched ‘Monsters Vs. Aliens‘. It’s a cute movie. Kortney and I shared our two bags of chips while watching it.
Saturday morning, we had open activities and I did crafts. I made a paper bat to hang on my chair and I made a friendship necklace for my friend Lou. Then in the afternoon, we went on a hay ride and sang songs. The hay ride was quite calming. Kortney and I were laughing at the paper ghosts in the trees. After the hay ride, we had snack and ate Apple Nachos (apples with caramel, nuts, and chocolate chips). We then had rest time and I took a nap for once. It was nice. After dinner, we dressed up and trick-or-treated around camp. I was an evil queen with a black cape and silver crown. The dance started afterwards. With the music pumping as always, everyone was dancing and all I could see were masks and costumes. They also had the Mizzou football game on mute on the big-screen TV and people would suddenly cheer when the team made a touchdown. I’m not a sports fan but I still thought that it was cool. I danced with Jake and his parents, Kelsey, Morgan, Kortney, Ashley, Sophie, and Toby. It was a fun night.
On Sunday, we ate breakfast and just played bingo until our rides got there. This weekend was a blast! It was good to see some old friends. Now the countdown until summer starts, down to when I go back to Wonderland. I might go two or three times this summer. I can’t wait!

Halloween Girl by Ghosts on the Radio
In the spirit of Halloween, I posted this video. I love the video and the song. The lyrics are eerie and haunting. The video also plays out like a horror movie which I love.
Quicksand by Britney Spears
I love this unreleased Britney Spears song. Lady GaGa wrote it for her but she never used it. She should've put it on her CD.
the Time of the Witch
With howling winds and smiling jack-o’-lanterns,
with zombies, ghosts, ghouls, and the full moon,
the time of the witch is here.
Lock all of your doors,
everyone be prepared.
You better sleep with fear,
for the time of the witch is here.
They’ll fly on their brooms,
dance and cackle around the fire,
steal all the sweet children that they hunger for,
causing the night to be full of horror.
It’s about to strike midnight,
are you ready yet?
You’re in for a treat,
you’re in for a fright.
Run if you can my dear,
for the time of the witch is here!

Angel Upon the Stars
Looking in the sky,
I smile and remember,
I laugh and recall.
Not too long ago,
you were here,
Telling me jokes,
Being on my side,
when no one was there.
You were my friend;
the piece of my heart,
my everything.
Now, you’re watching over me,
Now, you’re the angel dancing upon the stars;
the angel drinking from the Milky Way.
Even though you flew away,
My love for you still lives on;
your memory will always be here to stay.

Dear Peter Pan
Dear Peter Pan,
Please don’t leave me behind. I still believe in you. I still believe in faith, trust, and pixie dust. You use to take me on the greatest adventures, fighting wicked privates with the Lost Boys, soaring the beautiful skies, and racing with Tinker Bell, but now you’re flying so far ahead of me that you’re nearly out of my sight. Oh Peter, I thought that being adult is what I wanted, but now I realize that I don’t want to become old and cynical. I can’t. I love you and my innocence. Please Peter, I don’t want to grow up, honest. I’m not ready. I just want to be a little girl and have fun. Don’t go and forget me.
Your Friend Always,
Wendy

This is a letter from Wendy to Peter Pan once she realizes that she really didn't want to grow up after all. I got the idea for this letter from listening to Britney Spears' "Everytime". I listened to the song in Wendy's point-of-view.
Thank you again J.M. Barrie for writing a story that all children of all ages love and thank you Britney for having such a pretty song.

Wonderland Camp, August 2010 (Week 13)
Last week, I went to Wonderland Camp for the last time this summer. I had a blast! I went with my friends Kortney and Jeff. I also saw some of my old camp friends: Joe, Sophie, Lois, Mary, Angie, Dustin, Rick, John, Toby, Lynn, Elvis, and Marcus. I made some new friends as well: Kelsey, Becka, Zack, and Tim. On Sunday, we had the pool party. I swam, floated, and goofed off with my friends. Beach balls were flying around and everyone had a good time.
On Monday morning, we went to the waterfront at 6am and went on the boat. I fell asleep of course because the movement of the boat is so soothing. That afternoon, we had an inside carnival. It was so cool. They had games and little prizes to win, (and everyone won something no matter what). They also had bubbly music playing and Toby was juggling three balls in the middle of the room. For our snack, we had snow cones. I had a blue, bubblegum flavored one. Later that evening, we had a karaoke night/ice cream party. I sang “Don’t Cha” by the Pussycat Dolls and hung out with Rick, Dustin, John, Elvis, and Tim. While we were in line for ice cream, Dustin surprised me and gave me a friendship bracelet. It was a good evening.
Tuesday morning, we had Crafts, Nature, and Music. In Crafts, we tie-dyed our camp shirts and I dyed my shirt purple and red. In Music, we played limbo and a game called Human Machine, where we had to act and sound like a machine. Then in Nature, we went to the tree house and told stories. I love the tree house. Because it’s so high, it feels like I’m flying. After Nature, we then went to the game room until lunchtime and I played with jukebox. I still love that thing after all of these years. That afternoon, we went swimming. I floated around on my back and just relaxed, talking to friends. Later in the evening, we had movie night. We ate popcorn and watched “Tom and Hunk”. I saw the movie a long time ago, but it was still entertaining.
Wednesday morning, we had Rec, Nature, and Music. In Nature, we shot BB guns and with Kelsey’s help, I almost hit the bulls-eye. In Music, we practiced for the talent show and sang. For Rec, we went to the playground. Marcus, Kortney, and I got on the swings. Then that afternoon, we had another pool party. I swam with Kelsey and Joe and chased each other. It was so much fun. That evening, the talent show began. For my cabin’s group talent, we danced to “All In This Together” from “High School Musical”. For my individual talent, I just sang “Lucky” by Britney Spears. Britney songs are a blast to sing. For John’s talent, he sang “Forever and Always” by Shania Twain to me. It was cute. Joe’s cabin group talent was hilarious. He was dressed as an alien and his campers, who were dressed in black and sunglasses, were chasing him around the room with toy guns while Will Smith’s “Men In Black” was playing. It was great. The talent show was awesome as always!
On Thursday, we were at the pool all morning. Then in the afternoon, we had Beauty Shop and relaxed. I got my nails painted purple and put my hair down with glittery clips in it. Then, Kortney, Sophie, and I hung out with Toby and Lynn until dinnertime. Later, it was time for the dance. I wore my favorite black and purple tank top, my blue skinny jeans, purple eye shadow, and dark lipstick. The music was pumping and lights were everywhere when Kortney and I rolled in. I danced with Angie, Lois, John, Rick, Kelsey, Elvis, Kortney, Jeff, Marcus, Dustin, and Joe. Joe drove my chair around the dance floor and I loved it. I’ll never forget that moment. I was just hyper with my friends all night and by the end of the dance, I was slap happy. I was on cloud nine.
On Friday, after breakfast, we had awards. Kortney and I got the “Best Friends Award” (which Kelsey and Joe made) because Kortney and I did most things together. That afternoon, I mostly just hung out and signed shirts. When Mom and Dad got there to pick me up, I had to hug everyone, especially Joe. I can’t believe that summer is almost over. I have so many good memories, most dealing with camp. I’m looking forward to going back soon.

Wonderland Camp, July 2010 (Week 9)
Going to camp has always been a fun adventure and this year was no exception. I saw some old friends like Caitlin, Ashley, Marcus, Gaylemarie, Toby, and Lynn, but I also met some new friends like Dustin, Brooke, Faith, Joe, and Lois. Sunday began with an interesting start. It was very stormy and dark. Then, as I’m listening to a screamo song with Caitlin on her ipod, the tornado sirens were blaring. Everybody had to go in the bathroom for a while until it was clear. It was sort of fun and exciting to be honest. Caitlin and I were joking around. Later after dinner, we had karaoke night. I sang “Piece Of Me” by Britney Spears and then goofed off with Brooke, Joe, and Louis.
On Monday, we went to waterfront and rode the boat. Because it was so relaxing, I was dozing off and on. Then we went to Crafts and tie-dyed our camp shirts. My shirt was red and green. After the tie-dying, we went to Nature and played a quiz game. Music was then next. We learned new cute camp songs. Later, waiting for dinner, we also went to the game room. After we ate and before movie night, I played basketball with Joe and Lois. I was dodging the ball as always, but I had fun. Then we went to the dinning hall and the movie for night was Night At The Museum 2. It was so funny.
On Tuesday, we went to Crafts again and painted. Nature was second and we made flower cups. Music was third and played limbo and parachute games. Finally, after rest time, we went swimming. I swam with Caitlin for a while, then with Joe. He was spinning me around and acting silly. For an evening activity, I decided to hang out in the game room. Brooke and I were writing random, poetic things on the back of coloring sheets. Dustin was musician and songwriter. He saw what I wrote on one of my sheets and loved it. He wanted to turn it into a song, so we collaborated on it. It felt awesome that someone noticed something that I wrote.
On Wednesday, we went swimming and I swam with Brooke. Then we went to Rec, blowing bubbles and Crafts, making bead jewelry. Music was afterwards and we practiced for the talent show and danced. Later that evening was the show. For the group talent, my cabin and PHA danced to “Shake It” by Metro Station. Wanting to do something different for my individual talent this year, I read a poem that I wrote earlier that day and Caitlin helped reading. Everyone seemed to really like it. All the acts were entertaining and sometimes extremely hilarious.
On Thursday, we had Nature and shot BB guns. Then we had Rec and we played bowling. After Rec, we just hung out and had Beauty Shop, getting ready for the dance. We did our hair, nails, and make-up. My hair was curled but was down, my nails were painted purple, and Caitlin put purple eye shadow and dark red lipstick on me. Finally, after dinner, the dance began. I wore my black and purple strapless tank top with my skinny jeans and black shoes. Just to be cute, I met Joe at his cabin and he escorted me into the dance. All of my friends danced around me, the lights shined like stars, the music boomed, and it was a magical night. Then, later that night, after everyone was suppose to be in bed, Caitlin decided to scare me as a prank. She hopped on my bed and yelled my name, waking me up. I jumped out of my skin and my eyes were the size of golf balls, but we both laughed. It was priceless.
On Friday, we got awards. I got the Gossip Girl Award because I knew everything that went on at camp. We watched the camp video and played a little Bingo, but then I just hung around camp. I hung out at Joe’s cabin until Mom and Dad picked me up. I’ll never forget this week. So many cool things happened.

Give A Girl A Break!
I don't want to sound like that crying Britney Spears fan on YouTube, but LEAVE MILEY ALONE! She's 17, growing up. Let her be rebellious for a while. Let her have a more mature look and sound. Yes, she's being sensual, but she isn't going overboard. Give her a break! She's trying to find herself.
Becoming A Fan Of Green
Along with purple, red, and black, I'm beginning to really like the color green. I don't know why. It's just been pretty to me lately. Yay green!

A Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you for all of the blessings in my life. Thank you for everyone’s health and safety. I just want to pray for those who are lost, sad, or in pain. Let them know that they aren’t alone and give them strength to make it through. Guide them. Let your love be a comfort.
In Your Holy Name,
Amen.

Words of Encouragement
Don’t give up on love, don’t give up on humanity, anyone can get a happy ending.
Don’t hide in a shell, don’t let your heart be lonely, there is still compassion.

Missing Girl Found Unharmed (Thank God)

Summer
My summer is darling family memories.
My summer is doing things that make me happy.
My summer is hot days, romance, and adventures.
My summer is changes,
but not worrying about the past or the future.
My summer is swimming, barbecues, and fire flies,
keeping this twinkle in my eye.

Use A Pen Name???
Should I continue to publish my short stories under my real name or should I use a pen name? Tell me what you think. Using a pen name is just an idea. It's nothing definite.
Lee Dewyze
My two favorites from American Idol are now gone, but I'm starting to like Lee Dewyze. Despite his obvious shyness, he does have talent. He can sing really good. He could win if he keeps performing so well.
I'm not jumping on the Crystal Bowersox bandwagon. Yes, she has a great voice and plays a lot of instruments. I have to give her props for that fact, but I'm just not entertained by her performances. Lee is interesting.

Goofy and Max
I think that Goofy and Max are two of the best Disney characters (along with Tinker Bell and Mickey Mouse of course). When I saw this YouTube video of Goofy and Max, I just had to post it. It's so cute!

Bones: They Finally Kissed!!
Brennan and Booth, the two main characters on the TV show Bones, finally kissed each other in the 100th episode last night and I was ecstatic! Even though it was bittersweet, it was so romantic.

I love you Kortney, Jeff, and Jay. I know that I don't say it enough, but I do feel blessed to have all of you in my life; my true friends.

What Is (and Isn't) in the Health-Care Bill - The Daily Beast
Will pre-existing conditions be covered? What's the fine for not having insurance? Which states got sweetheart deals? A crib sheet to the health-care bill that passed the House Sunday.

I read more about this bill and I think that it doesn't seem horrible like some people make it out to be. Tell me what you think. Is this bill a bad idea or not? To read an article, click: http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2010-03-20/what-are-we-about-to-pass/

My American Idol Favs
My favorites on American Idol are Michael Lynche and Siobhan Magnus. Michael can sing anything from R&B to pop. He has an amazing voice and can play the guitar. He's also cute as a button. Siobhan is fun and unique. She has a very dark side and a bubbly side. She also can hit those mind-blowing high notes. I would be surprise if at lease one of them didn't make it to the Top 2. They're both so talented.

Happily Never After by Backstreet Boys
I'm obsessed with this song right now. I absolutely love the lyrics. I think that a lot of women could relate to it. It's about making a choice to leave from a bad relationship. This is for all of my girlfriends who are or were with jerks. Guys aren't worth the drama. You deserve better. Just click play to hear and view the song.

Miley Cyrus' Oscar Dress
The media is picking on Miley for what she wore at the Oscars last night, saying the dress looked old-fashioned for her. They say that she should wear dresses that are suitable for her age to red carpet events. I thought that she looked beautiful. She looked glamorous and almost princess-like. People are too judgmental. She is 17 and is growing up. What do they want her to wear? One of her Hannah Montana costumes or just a mini dress??? Come on people, she looked gorgeous!
