A Vampire Christmas Feast (a horror Christmas story)

a Vampire Christmas Feast

For most people, Christmas celebrates goodwill, togetherness, and love. They decorate their homes with trees with twinkling lights and beautiful ornaments, colorful wreaths and garland, cheerful Santas and reindeer, and elegant angels. Most spirits are jovial this time of year but what if I told you that there was one frightening house in Boston, Massachusetts with occupants that were soulless and had disdain for anything joyful? These mysterious, evil occupants would only take absolute glee in spilling blood during a bitter cold winter night.

These monstrous occupants wouldn't celebrate Christmas of course, but to profane and make fun of this wonderful holiday, they decorated their house with such grotesque things. They had a black tree ornamented with miniature skulls that had mouths frozen in a permanent scream, bronze inverted pentagrams, strings of teeth from their victims, and a gruesome-looking, golden bat sat on top. They also hung black and red wreaths, shaped like inverted pentagrams. Among the gold candelabras on the grand black piano, they had an antique Santa doll with its eyes gouged out. Dangling from the bronze fireplace mantel like stockings, there were several, small glass vitals of virgins' blood on gold chains with a black bow wrapped around each one.

The neighbors never seemed to notice these occupants but if they ever did, a death would've quickly come after. These occupants had to be guarded, for they were a coven of satanic vampires. They didn't want to make a spectacle of themselves or make humans too easy to prey upon. People in the twenty-first century, for some odd reason, thought that all vampires were misunderstood, romantic beings and not blood-sucking monsters.

Peter Strix Maxwell, the leader of the coven, had skin as fair as fresh snow and he was tall and very muscular. His eyes were the darkest blue, his long hair was jet-black, and he had a sensuous, sly grin that could make any woman weak in the knees. Even though Peter was centuries old, he looked like he was still in his early twenties. Hidden behind his attractiveness, he was also highly intelligent, smug, and manipulative.

Lana Juliet Sapphire was Peter's sometimes wife. Lana was seductive, mischievous, and shamelessly promiscuous. She wanted men or women, whichever tickled her fancy at the moment. She had milky-white skin, flowing, ginger hair, a petite but yet exquisitely curvy body, and emerald eyes that grew dark just before a kill. She loved playing with people's minds and would always wear dresses that completely showed off her feminine attributes to get what she wanted. Using her sweet, soothing voice, she could also charm children into thinking that she was some kind of a mother figure. She would comfort them and make them feel safe when it was obvious that they were in absolute danger.

The rest of the coven was made of misfits; lost souls who no one missed. Peter and Lana would take them from their beds at night. If an adult human proclaimed their devotion to Satan and to Peter, they wouldn't kill that person. They would just turn the person into a vampire to join their vile coffin. They were thirteen in all; men and women, no children. They killed kids automatically.

Back in October, a little boy with blonde, slicked back hair and his nannies and butlers moved into a house across from the coven. The boy's name was Jeffrey Monns and he was eight years old. He had parents, who were extremely rich, but they were never around much. There were rumors that his parents were part of the mafia or worked for the government but they rarely came home probably because he was a whiny, entitled, nightmarish brat, who would wail at the word no.

Jeffrey was also very plump due to him constantly demanding sweets and junk food. From the moment that Peter saw him through the window, he imagined the horrid boy's flesh and blood tasting like a succulent, candied ham and his mouth watered. Peter and Lana watched him for weeks, while he screamed at his nannies and butlers, threw tantrums at the drop of a hat, and punched and kicked other adults and children. His wicked, infantile behavior and the nannies' meek attempts of punishment irritated Peter and Lana. They thought that death would be the only appropriate punishment for the ghastly boy. Peter's feverish craving for the boy's blood was driving him crazy as well and he would do anything for it.

It was now Christmas Eve and Peter finally had a plan to taste that delectable blood. He bought a Santa Claus suit and a short elf dress for Lana. After weeks of watching Jeffrey, he noticed that none of the nannies closed Jeffrey's bedroom window at night, even during cold nights. He would appear into the bedroom dressed as Santa and using a promise of candy and toys, he'd trick the boy into coming with him to their house.

He waited until all of the lights went out at Jeffrey's house before putting his plan into action. Once the house went dark, he appeared in Jeffrey's room and turned on the light. The boy groaned sleepily with his eyes still closed, sitting up on his elbows in bed.

Jeffrey was about to scream, when Peter announced with a fake cheerful tone, "Merry Christmas!"

"Santa?" Jeffrey's eyes shot open wide with utter shock and wonder, then he looked at Peter dubiously.

"Santa," said Jeffrey with a raised eyebrow, "you look different."

Peter forced a chuckle and said in the most jolly voice that he could muster up: "How so, my boy?"

"I thought that you had a huge, ugly belly that shakes."

"He sure is calling the kettle black,"  Peter thought sardonically.

"Are you supposed to be ancient," continued Jeffrey, "and where's your white hair and beard?"

Peter hadn't worn a pillow underneath the jacket or the fake beard because of his vanity but he was still going to trick this infuriating boy easily.

"Well, my boy," he replied, quickly coming up with a lie, "the descriptions of me are always wrong. I'm actually quite young and fit. Think about it, how else could I carry all those gifts all night?"

"Makes sense," remarked Jeffrey, "but Santa, why are you up in my room? The Christmas tree is downstairs and I want my presents!"

"Because I'm here to surprise you. Since you've been such a good little boy this year, I'm inviting you to my workshop, where you'll get presents, candy, and more!"

Pretending to be sweet, Jeffrey bear hugged him and exclaimed: "Oh, thank you Santa!"

"Idiotic child,"  Peter thought with a sneer.

"Now, let's go," he told Jeffrey, pulling out a red blindfold from his pocket, "before your nannies wake up. I'm going to hide your eyes until we get there though so you can't tell people where my workshop is located. It's a secret."

Jeffrey let out an exasperated sigh but said: "Fine."

Peter then put the blindfold on him tightly until he whined.

Ignoring him, Peter asked: "Ready to go?"

"Yeah, are we going on your sleigh?"

"No, magic," said Peter simply, "we're going to fly like birds."

"Cool!"

This answer seemed to satisfy Jeffrey without complaint for once. He even let Peter grab him. As they glided out of the window and into the night, Peter kept a hand on his wrists so he couldn't sneak a peek.

It was frigid outside and Jeffrey whimpered about being cold because he was only in his pajamas but they weren't outside very long. Within minutes, they landed in front of the coven's house. Peter guided him into the door and Lana silently locked it behind them. He then guided him down a dark flight of stairs.

Jeffrey whined: "Are we there yet?"

"Yes boy." Peter slowly removed the blindfold and Lana was left in charge of Jeffrey for a moment, while Peter disappeared upstairs to change clothes. In reality, Jeffrey was in a dim, sound-proof basement that was filled with random toys and vampires prowling in the shadows but to Jeffrey's child eyes, as he looked around with awe, he was in Santa's magical workshop with elves running about.

"Hello Jeffrey," exclaimed Lana, who was wearing the elf dress and a pair of fake, pointed ears, "I'm Lana, Santa's head-elf!"

He asked: "Where did Santa go?"

"He went to get your special presents," she lied, "Why don't we have some sweets while we wait for him?"

"Okay!"

Two other vampires, who were also dressed as elves, helped Jeffrey sit on top of a large, elongated, wooden table, while Lana got the tray of goodies for him. The tray had chocolate pudding, gingerbread man cookies, a huge sundae made of chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream with every topping imaginable, a cup of candy canes and suckers, and a bowl of M&Ms.

As she put the tray in his lap, Jeffrey got a glimpse of one of vampires' fangs in the background. He gasped fearfully and asked her: "Do some elves have fangs?"

"Some do," she lied again in a tranquil tone, combing her hand through his hair tenderly, "but they won't hurt you. The fangs are only for shaping the candy canes. Just enjoy your sweets, okay?"

He automatically believed her and stuffed his face gleefully with pudding and a cookie. A few minutes passed. He was so busy eating that he didn't notice that the vampires had started to surround him, getting ready to lunge. His dark fate was coming closer and closer with each bite. He scooped a big mouth full of ice cream, when they all abruptly jumped upon him. The tray of goodies fell with a CRASH, as they pinned him on his back in the middle of the table, chaining his arms and legs to the table. He tried to fight them off, kicking, punching, and screaming, but it was no use.

Once he was chained up, the vampires backed off and waited for Peter. Jeffrey kept screaming until he was heaving and his face  was beat red.

"No one can hear you," said Peter mockingly, as he walked back down into the basement, "no matter how loud and annoying you are. It's sound-proof here." He had changed into a black tux and was now smirking at blubbering Jeffrey.

Jeffrey cried out: "You're not Santa Claus, you pervert!"

"He's a smart one," Peter said sarcastically, making the others laugh.

"You better let me go or my mom and dad will---!"

"I don't think your parents or your daft nannies will care," Peter replied with a grin, "Honestly, I think that they will be happy to be free of you. Besides, I can not let my family go hungry."

With his lip quivering, Jeffrey asked: "What do you mean?"

Peter said with a snicker: "Can't you see? You are our Christmas feast!"

Then, he and the others opened their mouths wide and bared their fangs, practically unhinging their jaws. Jeffrey shrieked in utter horror. They cackled and pounced upon him, attacking  savagely. They tore into his flesh with their sharp fangs, sucking his blood from his neck, arms, hands, wrists, feet, and legs. Jeffrey screeched in pain and terror but his cries were pointless. No one was going to save him now. Death was near.

Peter was in an absolute frenzy, drinking Jeffrey's blood. It was more exquisite than he imagined; savory, thick, and warm. The taste in his mouth made him euphoric and he relished each moment. They continued sucking Jeffrey's blood until his heart stopped.

When they were finished, they sighed in pure satisfaction and started to clean the basement, saving the excess blood in vitals and getting rid of the broken dishes. They were about to bury the body in the neighbor's backyard, when Peter then got a cruel idea. With an ax, he decapitated Jeffrey's head from his body. They buried the torso but Peter put the severed head in a wrapped gift box.

An hour before the sun rose on Christmas morning, he snuck over to Jeffrey's house and left the box on the doorstep. He grinned demonically at the memory of Jeffrey's blood on his lips and at the thought of a nanny's hysterical screams. As he was walking away and laughing, he whispered: "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good nightmare."

Wonderland Camp (October 2021)

During the weekend of October 22nd, I went to Wonderland Camp. I was in the Alice Hall A cabin. I saw my old friends: "Mama Cookie," Alyssa, Kenize, Kayde, Ty, Andy, Cali, Jan, and Sarah. I met some new friends: Rachel and Haley. I was so excited to be there as always. Camp is starting to become an October tradition for me. 🎃

Later that Friday evening, we had a bonfire. We sang the silly camp songs (or Ty tried to sing the songs lol), joked around, and ate gooey s'mores. I got to eat an extra chocolate bar too. It was a fun night.

On Saturday morning, it was rainy. After breakfast, we watched the movie, Hocus Pocus (an excellent Halloween movie to watch). I doodled on paper and watched the movie. It was relaxing.

We went to Archery after the movie. Kenize and Ty helped me aim and one of my arrows hit the target! Then, after lunch, we played Bingo. I usually don't get too engrossed in a game of Bingo and I end up just joking around during a game. This day, I started to joke around but I finally won! I got a hand-made, blue, plaid teddy bear as a prize. I named it Bob to remember my and Kenize's joke about Ty. I never noticed it before until she pointed it out to me but Ty looks like Bob Ross so much that it's uncanny. Every time that we saw him, we called him Bob (lol). 🧸😄 The bear is the reminder of that goofy joke now.

There was then a scavenger hunt in the cabins. We had to look for random, Halloween-themed things. It was easy but fun.

After the hunt, we had Crafts, where we were coloring and face-painting. A lot of other campers wanted something pretty or cute on their faces but I wanted something gory (of course).

Andy gave me a fake, bloody wound on my head. They did an awesome job!

After face-painting and when the rain stopped, we took a "haunted" hayride. There were "ghosts" jumping at us in the trees. It was so funny!

The atmosphere was perfect for the haunted chapel and the Halloween carnival later that evening; cold, damp, lightning flashing, and thunder rumbling in the distance. I kept my fake head wound but I put on my Jack Skellington costume. I just said that Jack had an accident, lol.

The haunted chapel was a legit haunted house; creepy music and sounds, scary clowns popping balloons in people's faces, zombies and ghouls jumping at us, and even had a Chucky doll (Yes, believe it or not, I went near that demonic doll, lol). Camp went next level and I loved it! Andy, please do the haunted house every year because BRAVO!!! 👏 I had a blast that night!

Sunday was sort of a blur but I had such a good time that weekend. It was nice to see some old friends and make some new. I also love having total creepy fun!

Happy Halloween!!!! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

MY EYES! (a horror Halloween story)

My eyes! The pain is excruciating! What's happening?! I woke up a few hours ago in my queen-sized, canopy bed in my New York City loft and my eyes still can't open! My eyes are swollen, extremely inflamed; bleeding like a scarlet, hot stream running down my face. I can't see anything but red. Then, I realize with terror that my inner-demons that I always fight off are now clawing and stabbing me behind my eyes, trying to crack the windows to my soul. I'm still in my bed, writhing in agony. The louder that I scream, sob, and plea for relief, the more I'm tortured with intense eye pain!

I can't take it anymore! I just need to make it stop! I sit up in bed. Desperately feeling around my nightstand with my hand, I manage to find my curved blade that I keep by my bed for protection. Forcing my upper-eyelid open, I slowly begin to push and scoop each eyeball out of each socket with the blade. Even though I'm adding to the pain and more blood is spraying everywhere, I tell myself between shrieking that this will end my suffering.

My eyeballs finally plop out and are dangling from the sockets. I sever my eyeballs from the nerves and arteries, and throw them across the room. I'm unable to see it but my shadowy inner-demons soar out of my now empty eye sockets and disappear into the walls. Blood is still gushing, I'm now blind, and I feel faint but at least the pain is gone. I can't feel anything. It's a good thing, right?

I'm currently recovering from pink eye. When it was bad, it felt like I was being stabbed in my eyes. My illness inspired a mini story. Don't worry, my eyes didn't really bleed; just felt like it, lol. Happy Halloween!

SHANE DAWSON IS BACK!

Shane is back! While I was listening to an audio book on Youtube, I got a notification that Shane posted a video. I couldn't believe my eyes. I never been so happy to see a notification before! I clicked on it so fast, trying to hold back a gleeful squeal. Shane is doing a ghost-hunting series. This is the best October treat ever!

JUST SHUT UP, THAT'S ENOUGH!

Since 2020, strangers on Twitter have tried to tell me not to like Shane Dawson anymore. I'm used to it and I usually just ignore it. I love Shane and no one will change it.  Tonight, it wasn't a random person. It was another Youtuber named That Creepy Reading, whom I used to watch all the time. He was picking on me on Twitter for being a Shane Dawson stan, accusing me of "blind celebrity worshipping." When in reality, I think that he was just upset that I was defending Shane.

THAT'S IT, THAT'S ENOUGH! 😡 I'm done being nice! No one can tell me what to do or think. I HAVE MY OWN MIND! If you don't like that or you insist on hopping on the hate Shane Dawson bandwagon without knowing the full story, JUST GET OUT OF MY WAY! JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!! You're just hating Shane and turning him into the YouTube villain so you can seem "woke." Yes, I'm a stan (an extreme fan-girl at times) but I'm not brainless! I just can't stand seeing Shane get targeted by hate repeatedly, almost on a loop, over things that he did and/or said years ago and I'm sick and tired of cancel culture!!!! ANYTHING AND ANYONE CAN BE CANCELED OVER THE SLIGHTEST THING NOWADAYS! ALSO, ARE PEOPLE REALLY GOING TO PUNISH SHANE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE FOR PAST MISTAKES?! HE HAS GROWN FROM THESE MISTAKES AND EDUCATED HIMSELF. HE KNOWS THAT THOSE THINGS WERE WRONG!!!!!!

That Creepy Reading, you hurt my feelings, tried to make me feel ashamed for liking Shane (but failed), and embarrassed me. I didn't want you to jump to conclusions about Shane from just watching clips of old videos. When I asked you if you thoroughly researched for your upcoming "Worse Youtubers" video, you sent me such an arrogant reply. You're going to add to the lies about Shane but that's okay. You just lost a subscriber. Whatever you say will come back to you three-fold, dude.

Wonderland Camp: June 2021

On June 20th, I spent a week at Wonderland Camp at the Lake of Ozarks. I was very excited and a bit jiggery because I hadn't been there for almost two years but I was ready to embrace new adventures! It was pirate week and I was in Alice Hall B cabin. I saw my old friends: Ann, Cookie, Kayde, Shauna, Jeff, Jay, Mark, Ty, and Caili. I also made some new friends: Becca, Alyssa, Kraylin, Shelby, Monique, Logan, and Ryan. On Sunday, Cookie, Ann, and I spent the evening playing on the splash pad.

It was so much fun to just run in and out of the water. I've missed that thing! Then, we ate some gooey and scrumptious s'mores by the campfire, laughing with friends. Even Kortney Keith facetimed me and we talked. It was a good night.

On Monday morning, we rode the tractor down to the water front and rode the boat. I sat by Alyssa while Ann and Cookie sat across from me. It was a little cold and cloudy while we were on the water but we all were bundled with blankets and our hoodies. The waves, as the boat sped through the water, made the boat rock up and down. I didn't fall asleep this time. I was laughing and talking with people. I was also looking at the huge condos, as we sped by. I wondered if rich people were staying by the camp because the condos looked like castles on the water.

During rest time, Cookie and I were about to relax and read my Betty & Veronica comic in a swing, when Shauna drove by in the golf-cart.

Cookie loves riding the golf-cart so we asked for a ride. We were ecstatic when she said yes.

Cookie and I squealed and giggled, as we sped around camp. My heart was racing and my stomach was being tickled from the inside. The golf-cart ride felt like a bumpy rollercoaster while wind hit our faces and we waved hi at people that were walking by. It was so much fun!

Later that afternoon, we climbed the rock wall. I like going all the way to the top. The view is awesome! I feel like an enormous giant, looking down at the world.

After the rock wall, Cookie, Ann, Kraylin, and I did the wobbly bridge and the zipline at the treehouse. The wobbly bridge moves back and forth. It wasn't the wisest idea for me to drive on it on my own, especially when I can barely drive my wheelchair straight in the first place, lol. It was so easy to imagine falling off the edge, plummeting to my death like some scene from Final Destination (lol) but it gave me an adrenaline rush. I only hit the mesh sides twice and Kraylin helped me across at the end.

Then, I went on the zipline. I've always loved the thing. It gets my blood pumping! When I zoom across, I feel like Peter Pan, flying above the trees. I can see the whole camp from the treetops. It's fun and feels so freeing.

Later in the evening, we built carboard ships to race. I played with slime from Shelby's craft bag while the counselors were cutting out our cabin's ship. I'll admit that I was more interested in the slime than the ship making. (Sorry not sorry, lol). The ship races were then in the pool and campers cheered on for their cabins. It was a nice night.

On Tuesday morning, we got to shoot "pirates" (aka the counselors) with water guns. It was so funny to see the "pirates"  running around.

Alyssa was helping me shoot and we were belly laughing. My water gun was sort of broke and leaked on me, making me soaked, as I was shooting. I had a blast!

Then, in Arts and Crafts, I tie-dyed a new camp shirt, using watermelon colors with a splash of purple. I also drew some pictures of Slenderman, Blair Witch stick figures, and Peter Pan on the back of coloring pages. I wonder if I sometimes creep out the staff, lol. After Crafts, we had Archery. Kraylin helped me aim and shoot.  I only hit  the target with one arrow but I had a good time.

During rest time, Becca and I went on a walk. Even though I'm not an outdoors person, I thought that the woods were pretty. It looked like a bright water painting. For free time, Cookie, Ann, Shelby, and I went to the splash pad. The water was colder but felt good because of the hot day.

Later in the evening, it was the camp carnival. Cookie and I played a few games. We also hung out with Jeff, Jay, and Mark for a while but we winded up just relaxing and people-watching for the rest of it. It was a good day.

On Wednesday morning, we had Music. We listened to our favorite songs and played games. The games were like Candy Crush but were projected onto the chapel's floor so people could roll and/or stomp on the targets. It was cool.

After Music, we had Arts and Crafts. We got to paint on counselors with brushes. I got a little too into it (lol) and instead of using my brush, I began to smear paint on the counselors with my hands like finger-painting. It was so fun and satisfying.

Later in the afternoon, we had Nature. We went on a treasure hunt. We had to look for Easter eggs for clues to a treasure chest. The treasure chest was in the sand, where people play volleyball. I got a fake emerald ring from the "treasure."

We had pool time after rest time but Cookie and I didn't swim. We just hung out and put our feet in the water. We talked, giggled about boys like two schoolgirls (lol), tried to tan, and splashed. It was beyond relaxing.

Much later in the evening, the talent show started. There were a lot of good songs and talents. There was even a guy that impersonated Popeye the Sailor Man. It was so entertaining! For my talent, I sang "Lost Boy"  by Ruth B.

From the sensory/costume room, I got a green vest that reminded me of Peter Pan, a brown pirate hat, and a green, bedazzled bow-tie that I put on my wrist.

When I got on stage, Ann and Cookie surprised me with a sign that read: Camp Mom Loves Lena (I affectionately call Cookie my camp mom all the time). The sign was so, so sweet! Everyone also liked my song. It was a wonderful show and day!

Thursday morning was supposed to be Pirate Camp Day but it got rained out. We had to run into the crafts cabin, then our cabin, then into Miller Hall. When we got into Miller Hall, we got to watch the movie, Hook. I was of course very content. Watching any Peter Pan movie makes me happy.

After rest time, there was a pirate show. In the show, they "taught" us how to be pirates. It was hilarious!

After the show, I then went into Miller Hall to play games and stuff. I start playing Just Dance with people. It was fun and I was surprised that I was nailing most of the arm movements. It could be a good arm exercise for me. I was so obsessed with it!

Then, our cabin started to get ready for the dance. I wore a multicolored, flowing, bedazzled blouse, a pair of skinny jeans, and white sneakers. I wore purple eyeshadow, put pink jewels on the corners of my eyes (I was trying something different), and wore red lipstick. I also curled and pinned up my bangs because my hair is getting long.

After dinner, the dance started. Music boomed from Miller Hall, people were cheering, lights were spinning, as people slowly went in. You have no idea how much I missed this perfect chaos. I danced, sang at the top of my lungs, and laughed with friends all night. Cookie and I were both hyped up on Pepsi floats, lol.  I'll never forget that euphoric feeling from that night.

Friday was bittersweet as always. A part of me was ready to go home but another part of me wanted to stay there forever. At breakfast, I got the Best Makeup Award for my look from the night before. Before my mommio and daddio picked me up, I was making a mental picture of every face, sound, and sight. I knew that I was coming back in October but this week was special. I was so happy to see Cookie and others. I was happy that I got away from the pandemic stuff for a while. Things felt normal. I'm happy that this place is my escape, my secondary home. Oh, Wonderland, I love

My Comfort Characters

What's a comfort character? A character that makes you feel relaxed or happy. A lot of people use their comfort characters (or “ccs”) as a coping mechanism. They imagine themselves being with the character as friends, romantic partners, or family.

Max Goof and Roxanne:
the first movie couple that I ever shipped before the slang definition for 'shipping' was even invented.

***
My Comfort Characters

Peter Pan: Fun, brave, and mischievous. I want to be his friend and go on grand adventures. I want to be a lost girl despite being 34. I'm in such a good mood when I watch a Peter Pan movie. My worries melt away.

Max Goof: adorable, funny, sweet. I used to watch A Goofy Movie repeatedly. I love Goofy. I'm a Goofy fan but I've always been OBSESSED with Max. At 7 or 8, I said that I wanted to marry Max, lol. What can I say? I was a strange child. 😁 Max still makes me happy. He would be boyfriend material if I was a cartoon or if he was a real human, lol. 😂

Disney's Robin Hood: heroic, compassionate, kind. This movie is underrated. I love it so much! I wish that Robin was real. He cares about the poor and the way that he looks at Maid Marian makes my heart melt. I love him.

Coraline Jones: intelligent, imaginative, brave, misunderstood. This movie is such creepy-fun (one of my dream environments). I relate to Coraline on so many levels. I sometimes get bored and long for escape.

Jack Skellington: passionate, curious, fearsome when need be, protective. Halloween Town is my ultimate dream environment and Jack is so cool! I imagine Jack taking me on a tour of Halloween town and being my best friend, protecting me and making me laugh.

Liberty's Kids: Smart, brave, funny. This group might seem random but this 2002 PBS Kids show about the American Revolutionary War just soothes me. The three main characters; Sarah, James, and Henri comfort me. I would definitely hang out with them and go on adventures in colonial times.

The squad on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Fearless, caring, compassionate, heroic, bad-asses. If these characters were really detectives/cops and lawyers, the world would be a better place. I like to think the squad will break down the door and protect me if I'm scared.

©Adam, Dream Protector: Brave, mischievous, loving, extremely protective, funny, understanding, accepting, encouraging. He's an original character that I made up. I always see him in my dreams. He's a wizard and a punk rocker. We joke around, flirt, and dance. We love each other. He helps me fight the monsters/villains in my nightmares and wakes me up when the nightmares are too much. In my mind, he also holds me while I watch TV and/or when I'm sad, afraid, sick, or can't sleep. He's one of the main characters in my book that I'm writing.

Poetry Is... (a poem)

Do you really think that a poet likes to be told how to write,

to be told to write this but not write that?

Poetry doesn't have to be perfect or 'correct.'

Get off your high-horse,

get rid of your judgmental red pen

Poetry is the poet's feelings,

what's seen and what's within.

Dear Frenemies (a poem)

Dear Frenemies,  I finally forgive you,  But you no longer have power over me.  I broke the strings, I unlocked the chains.  Unlike Wendy ...
