If They Only Knew (a love poem ❤)

If They Knew

If they only knew the truth about you and me,
it would be obvious for them to see that we're legitimately happy.
You accept my weirdness;
You accept both my light and dark side,
loving me no matter what.
I accept your complicated past;
I accept your quirkiness,
loving all of you.
Our love isn't sinful, gross, or harmful,
it's unorthodox but beautiful.
If they only knew...if they only knew the truth.
