Wonderland Camp, July 2019

I went to Wonderland Camp during the week of July 14th and I had such a magical time. 😉 It was Harry Potter week. I saw my old friends: Kortney, Megan, Cookie, Ann, Katy, Ethan, Drake, and Lexi. I was so happy to see them! I also made new friends: Miami, Trey, Kennedy, and Mollie. On Sunday, Kortney and I hung out on the splash pad. The water was cold and we kept running around but felt good.
Then, we had gooey, delectable s'mores 😋 at the campfire.

On Monday, we first shot BB guns. Mollie helped me aim and I pulled the trigger. I hit the target a few times. Then, we went to Art and Crafts and we tie-dyed our shirts. Kortney and I tie-dyed my shirt blue with a purple heart design in the middle. It was cute. I then doodled some pictures. I drew a picture of Slender Man and I think that it sort of crept out Kennedy (😁 lol).

For Rec, we played Bingo because it was raining. Bingo has never been my favorite game in the world because it's so slow and I never win most of the time but this time, I won a round. In the bottom of box of their Dollar Store prizes (no shade intended 😜 lol), I found something cool; a small, orange skeleton toy. I loved it.

Later after lunch, during free-flow (free hour), I went on the big swing. Kortney, Trey, and Zach helped me on it. I rode the swing with a camper named Josh. They raised us up high in the sky and on the count of three, they pulled the rope and we went down with a WHOOSH. We swung back and forth above everyone. It tickled my stomach from inside and I was screaming happily the whole time. I loved the feeling of flying. My surroundings blurred together as we zoomed up and down.

Then, that evening, it was Magic Monday. It was like a mini carnival in the dinning hall. There were games, activities, and face painting. Music was blaring. Each table in each corner had a game or an activity. I got a purple skull painted on my cheek and I did a few activities. It was so much fun!

On Tuesday, we rode the boat. For us to have more room, Cookie and I got out of our chairs and sat by Ann. We made each other laugh and took selfies. It started raining a little but it made us laugh even more because it was hitting our faces. Drake gave us blankets and ponchos to cover up with.

Later in Art and Crafts, we drew our own crests (like the house crests in Harry Potter). My crest had an evil Mickey Mouse, Slender Man (I don't know why Slendy was on my mind so much that week, maybe because I was in the woods ðŸĪŠ lol), and a snake. They said our crests should represent our personalities and creepy is part of my personality.

Then, for free-flow, I went up the rock wall. From way up, I could see all of camp. It was pretty. Someone needs to take a picture up there because the view was incredible. Later that evening, we did random activities like making wands, invisible ink, and slime. It was messy fun.

Before bed, Cookie, Ann, Kortney, and I hung out on the outside stage. I sang the song that I was going to sing the next day at the talent show ("So Am I" by Ava Max). While I was singing, Cookie was goofing around and dancing next to me. It was funny!

On Wednesday, we did the zip line. I loved it.

As I zoomed across, it felt like I was flying among the trees. It felt freeing.

Then, we did archery. Kortney helped me and I hit the target a couple of times. Later after lunch, we had pool/splash pad time. Kortney and I hung out on splash pad. Because it was so hot outside, the cool water felt amazing and I loved hanging out with Kortney.

Then, during Free-Flow, it was supposed to be the talent show practice but it was more of a chaotic but fun dance party. With all of those people crowded in the chapel, the thunderous clapping and stomping practically shook the place and music was blasting.

Later that evening, the talent show began in the dinning hall. Since we were a little late, my friends and I had to sit in the back but we still had fun, laughing and singing. When I headed to the front to sing my song, all of my friends moved forward. Cookie and Ann surprised me and made me a sign that said: I ❤ Lena. They waved the sign in the air while I sang. It was so sweet! I couldn't help but to feel like a pop star for a moment. The night was great!!

On Thursday, during breakfast, we were sorted into houses (like in Harry Potter). Everybody got in a line to put on the sorting hat and the hat "said" which house that they were in. I was in Ravenclaw (though I secretly wanted Gryffindor or Slytherin lol). Then, we did random activities like "Defense Against the Dark Arts", where we pretended to have wizard's duels, and "Levitation", where we pretended to make things levitate. Then, because it was so hot, we got to watch the movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Later, we got ready for the dance. I wore my black, white polka-dotted blouse, blue jeans, and black shoes. I also wore my purple eye shadow and my red lipstick. The dance then began in the dinning hall. Music was booming and the colorful lights were spinning. I had fun, dancing and being silly with my friends. It was such an awesome night!

Friday was bittersweet as always. I didn't want to leave my friends (especially Kortney and Cookie) but I missed my parents and my room, lol. During awards, I got the 2 Peas in a Pod award from Kortney because we almost did everything together and she's one of my best friends.

The week at camp was so, so, so much fun!!!!!!!!! I can't wait until October.

Smooches and think Tink! 💋🧚ðŸŧ‍♀️
