An Unplugged Weekend

Our cable and internet have been out again since Friday. All weekend, I colored, journaled, read, and watched Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, SVU, and Dateline on regular television. The Spectrum tech finally came and fixed it today. Yay!

A Fun Saturday

I had a great day with Daddio on Saturday! Since our cable and internet were out because of Friday's storm, I asked him to take me to the mall. First, I got an Archie horror comic from V-Stock. We then headed to Earthbound. Daddy helped me pick out some new crystals and stones for my collection. Then, we went to Hot Topic. I got a Death Note t-shirt and a Pumpkin Head t-shirt.

I've become more confident when I'm out shopping and have been talking to the cashiers more. Because of this, instead of the cashiers only acknowledging the person with me and not seeing me, they acknowledge me. I like it.

I went slightly over budget, but it was worth it! I had fun. By the time we stopped shopping, the cable and internet came back on at home. Then, Dad bought me some Taco Bell. I got a Chalupa Supreme.

Now, I'm gaming, blogging, and listening to music at 1am after an awesome day.

I have the best dad ever!!!!

The Empowering Dream

I had a dream that I was in a pop girl group. The other three girls were in wheelchairs like me. I was having fun performing, but the other girls were mean. We entered a talent show, hoping to get noticed. We performed the song "In The Closet" by Michael Jackson.

The other girls kept messing up during our performance, but when we rolled off stage, they blamed me for their mistakes and yelled at me, making me cry. One of the judges was my former school principal (people from my past being in my dreams have been a recurring theme lately), and he saw the girls screaming at me backstage, then me sobbing in front of my dressing room door. He encouraged me to reenter the show as a solo act, saying, "You shouldn't be bullied like this. You're such an amazing person! If you want success, push yourself to be heard. Don't be a follower or anyone's scapegoat! I know you have it in you, forget those brats! Show everybody your talent."

He then gently wiped my tears away. I smiled and got the confidence to leave the group. He talked the other judges into letting me reenter the show as a solo singer. I rushed into the restroom, cleaned my face, and redid my makeup. Then, I rolled up on stage to the microphone under the hot and almost blinding spotlight. I was extremely nervous, my heart pounding, but I took a deep breath and tried to relax. As the music started, I heard him whisper, "You got this."

I began singing the song "Who Will Love Me As I Am."

I had everyone's attention. The audience and judges were smiling, astonished by my voice. The mean girls rolled out of the building angrily. When I belted out the final note, I got a standing ovation. I heard my principal cheer out over the roar of the audience, "That's how you do it!" I wanted to wave at him, but he disappeared into the crowd. Then, I woke up. When I opened my eyes, I felt happy, empowered, and ready for the day.

Blessed Beltane πŸ’šπŸŒΉπŸͺ·πŸŒ·πŸŒΌπŸŒ»

Beltane, a spring festival celebrated around May 1st, holds significance as a time of renewal, fertility, and the transition into summer
It's a liminal period where the veil between worlds is thin, making it a time for divination and connection with nature. For the ancient Celts, Beltane marked the beginning of the summer season and the start of the growing season, with fire rituals and the movement of livestock to pastures being prominent.
