A Happy Saturday

 

Happy Saturday! My mind is in a much better place and I feel so good again. I'm on my laptop and watching SVU on television. I'll write my SVU fan-fic again on Monday.

March Has Sucked!

 

I know that I said that my SVU fan-fic would be posted by now but thanks to my lovely seasonal allergies, my health hasn't been the greatest; Two colds and now, a lingering cough and stomach issues! MARCH HAS SUCKED!! I...JUST...WANT...TO...SCREAMMMM!!! I swear, I think that someone put a curse on me. I promise that as soon as everything is under control, I'll write again. 

I'm trying to think Tink, I really am.

Britney spears claimed on instagram that Justin Timberlake used their break-up years ago to further his solo career. In regard to this Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake situation, I'm Switzerland. I'm a Britney fan and a Justin fan. Britney is just venting about things from her past now because she was silenced for so long. Everybody (even fans) knew back in the day that Justin's "Cry Me a River" was about Britney. Maybe he shouldn't have done that but they both were still young.

Escapism is the Best Medicine

 

I've had two head colds within two weeks! It made feel so unproductive and depressed. I still have the lingering cough but I'm coming back up from the downward spiral. Thank you Shane Dawson, Ryland Adams, and *NSYNC for being my daily doses of dopamine during these vile colds.

Silly Conspiracy Theory: Was Jack Skellington Originally From Oz???

 

Hey guys, 

I noticed something odd, but yet cool, while watching the movie, Return to Oz the other night on Disney+ . 

Look at Jack Pumpkinhead from Return to Oz. 

Now, look at Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas. 

They have the same smile, they're both extremely tall, both of their heads are removable, and both are named Jack. Is this the same character? Did Jack actually live in Oz before becoming the pumpkin king in Halloween Town? Was he friends with Dorothy Gale when he was a young pumpkin? Did Jack Pumkinhead become Jack Skellington in the after-life? I know that this twisted idea is silly but I've had a cold this week and this thought made me happy. Let's face it though, the similarities are uncanny.

Hero (a poem)

 

A hero isn't an extraterritorial who's faster than a speeding bullet

or that social media star who tells you to live life to the fullest. 

A hero isn't even a president 

with fragile promises and policies. 

The hero is us! 

The doctor who stays up seventy-two hours

to save the lives of strangers; 

The nurse who holds our hands and gives us faith, 

no matter how hopeless things may seem. 

It's the teacher who gives a student their compassion and time, 

when the rest of the world would rather leave the kid behind. 

It's the single mother or father who works two jobs just to pay the never-ending bills,

coming home at midnight 

but always there to make sure that their babies are alright. 

It's the ones who stand up for what's right, 

fighting like hell for others' rights; 

The ones who object to the corrupt and swinish.

Heroes are the everyday, the unseen, 

who the norm considers to be average; 

so you know the the truth, 

the hero is you, 

the icon has always been you!
