World Down Syndrome Day!

March 21, 2021 is World Down Syndrome Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about Down syndrome and celebrating individuals around the world living with the genetic condition. The date being the 21st day of the 3rd month was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

 Rock some odd socks on March 21st. Chromosomes are shaped like socks, and since those with Down syndrome carry an extra chromosome, mismatched socks are a great symbol for the day.

Accidental Astral Projection???

 

Can someone astral project by accident? This morning, in a dream-like-state, I zoomed up in the air, getting a tickling sensation in my stomach and chest. Suddenly, I was watching myself sleep. I then flew around my room. I never astral projected before (I'm unsure if I even believe in it) but I do have lucid dreams so it could be in the realm of possibilities.

After watching Megan's and Harry's interview with Oprah, I have no desire in being a princess or any royal person, lol. I love my freedom to speak my mind.

Canceling Cartoons?!

 

People need to loosen up! First, Warner Bros. recently cancelled Pepe Le Pew completely (A kissing skunk) because people said that he was "normalizing rape." Kids don't see it that way. To them, it's just a silly skunk kissing a cat. If it's that upsetting to adults, parents could just offhandedly say, "Oh, that goofy Pepe, he should've asked her if she wanted a kiss."  Warner Bros. didn't have to discontinue the cartoons altogether. 

Then, Peter Pan was suddenly a "racist" and was "teaching kids how to smoke." Peter Pan is still on Disney+ but they restricted the movie from kids' profiles that are under seven. As an aunt of two and being half native American, but being the biggest fan of Peter Pan, I'll admit that some scenes are questionable and the "What Makes the Red Man Red" song is very inappropriate. Grownups can just tell kids why these things are wrong though. Don't hide a classic Disney movie. It's a story of imagination, adventure, and childhood.

Do you remember being an innocent, carefree, fun kid? Remember those days? THEN, FOR THE LOVE OF PETER PAN, STOP CANCELING/CENSORING CLASSIC CARTOONS to be "politically correct." Keep adult politics out of kids' minds. You can teach kids about life, (as you should), but don't take away childhood memories just to be "right" or to seem "woke!"

Riverdale's Seven-Year Time Jump

 

Spoiler alert: to anyone who hasn't watched last night's episode yet! Do not read!!

The episode takes place seven years after graduation. 

Archie went into the army and got injured in the battlefield. Now, he comes home to find out Riverdale is different in a very bad way. 

Veronica is a successful business woman 💪 💰 in New York but her Wall-Streeter husband, Chad, is a controlling, weak-minded jerk 😠 , (yeah, I said it). He's trying to pressure her into having a baby. 😡 Hey Chad, it's the 21st century, women aren't just baby-makers! Archie called her to Riverdale just in time. 👍

 Betty is a badass FBI agent! 💪🤩 After being captured by a serial killer for two weeks, she's haunted by the case. Her boss and boyfriend, Glenn, put her on desk duty in the Cold Case Unit because of it. I can't put my finger on it but something is off about their relationship. 😒 It's as though she's only pretending to like him. Also, IT'S WEIRD TO SEE HER KISSING A GUY THAT ISN'T JUGHEAD! 😳 She seems so happy when Archie calls. 😀

Jughead is a published author, living in New York. His first book was very successful but now, it's been years and he's having extreme writer's block (I know Jug, that sucks, lol). When Archie calls, he's having a bad day. He's getting evicted, his live-in girlfriend, Jessica, is leaving him, debt collectors are looking for him, and he's being blackmailed by a girl that he met at the bar. This crazy girl wants him to read her book or she'll call the debt collectors. I think that Archie calls just at the right time. Also, I do miss the beanie but Jug looks so good with his sexy, studious, gruff aesthetic. The glasses, the facial hair, the new tattoo; I love it! 🤩 Oh, for the love of Peter Pan, if Betty and Jughead don't get back together, I'd take him! 😍🤤 

Cheryl's story is just heartbreaking. 😢💔 She has rebuilt her family business and it's a success again but she never leaves the house. She just spends time with her grandma and paints. No one has seen her in town for years. She's basically the Boo Radley of Riverdale, just more glamorous. She still loves Toni but acts aloof towards her. Cheryl thinks that she's cursed to be forever alone. 😟 

Toni is finally the queen of the Southside Serpents 🐍💪 but she's also the counselor at Riverdale High and does other social work. 😁👍 She's pregnant 🤰👼 but I don't think that the sperm donor is a nice guy. She cares about the people of the town as well 🤗 . She shows Archie how the town has gone to the dumps. Crime is high and the poor is voiceless. Hiram is the mayor and gives the town's money to a bigger city.  

Archie and the gang come together to figure out a plan. They have to save the town before it's too late. Hiram can't win.

Shane Dawson was in Ryland Adams' latest video today for a few minutes and I was so happy to see him. 😄😍 He seemed more joyful. Even though he joked about how his career was over (stupid drama channels 😢😡 ), he seemed content with his life with Ryland at that moment. 😃 His beautiful blue-gray eyes sparkled in the sunlight and he smiled underneath his mask. 🌞 Today, I fully decided that if Shane wanted to leave social media forever, I'd let him go. I just want him to keep smiling with those stunning eyes.
